More From GBAs

We have some new action in Washington D.C..

They have pulled S.1947 out of the farm bill, The HSUS are doing everything they can to pass one of the 2 bills. I have the following letter which should be emailed and phoned into the members of the Agriculture committee, I am trying to come up with email adresses for the Agrculture Committee If you have these please forward them to me so we can share to everyone.

Honorable Member

On Tuesday, December 4, 2012, the full U.S. Senate passed S.1947 short title “Animal Fighting Spectator Prohibition Act of 2011”. The bill is now in Agriculture Committee being held by the chairman; please keep an eye out for S.1947.

Here’s a brief recap: The bill should not be passed in the House. The gamefowl industry is a billion dollar industry in the United States . The industry will be severely damaged if this bill is passed. In addition no one has bothered to consider the impact on the territories of the United States . Gamefowl selling, breeding, trading, showing, buying and growing flourishes in all the U.S. Territories and in the U.S.

Please advise your member of this situation and of the possibility of this bill being put forth for consideration. If possible, a member should stall this bill. (Is it possible to ask for a fiscal note, public hearing, subcommittee consideration, etc. If S.1947 is moved forward in the House, please ask your member to help remove “Avian Species” from the bill. “This is a unconstitutional bill”, It is a States right to govern its own laws.

Respectfully,
Your name
