Beaten by a cock in a stag derby? It is your fault.

A popular heeler (gaffer) posted on facebook that they were beaten by a cock in a stag derby.

When I went to their gamecock farm, I asked her if she really posted that statement and if that is really her using the facebook account. And the answer I got is “YES”.

My farm visit was almost a year ago, 5 November 2011 (PSKA 3-stag short knife derby was 4 November 2011).

Do not complain after the fight, that you met a cock.

You have to screen your opponent’s stag rooster during weighing (check primary wing feathers, spurs, wing band, and stag registry).

Do not trust anyone. See for yourself.

Let your opponent screen your stag thoroughly.

Make sure that your opponent is satisfied that your stag rooster is really a stag rooster with all the credentials including stag registry.

Also make sure that they saw the actual weight of your stag at weighing.

You want a happy opponent that will say that they were really beaten by your stag rooster of proper weight.
