Beltway Beef Commentary – Rep. Steve King Offers Stance on HSUS

The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association’s (NCBA) Beltway Beef weekly audio is ready. Congressman Steve King (R-Iowa) says ever since he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2002, he finds himself constantly making the argument that all new wealth comes from the land. This is one of the many reasons why Rep. King makes agriculture a priority.

Rep. King does not sugarcoat his distaste for animal rights extremist organizations. Specifically, he says the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) is a “dishonest” organization that is an undisputed enemy of livestock and feed grain production. He urges agriculture to align and push back on HSUS.
