Last January 2011, I inquired with a tricycle driver on the street about cockfighting schedules in Makati Coliseum.

The driver mentioned that Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay, Jr. terminated all cockfighting events in Makati Coliseum.

The driver also mentioned that the cockfighting operator in Makati Coliseum supported the other mayoral candidate for Makati City last 2010 elections and is against the candidacy of Jejomar Binay, Jr. for Mayor of Makati City.

Last October 2011, a Pinoy Cockers Association of the Philippines (PCAP) multi Cocker of the Year champion confirmed that cockfighting events in Makati City’s Makati Coliseum were terminated by Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay, Jr.

Last September 2012, a perennial big event cockfighting contender also confirmed that Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay, Jr. terminated the cockfighting events in Makati Coliseum.

What we really know is that cockfighting events in Makati Coliseum was really terminated since then. Makati City owns the Makati Coliseum. Thus, Makati City terminated the cockfighting derbies and other cockfighting events in Makati Coliseum. Makati City is headed by Mayor Jejomar Binay, Jr. when the termination for cockfighting events in Makati Coliseum was issued.

As cockfighters and liberty fighters, we have to be aware of oppressions to our sports of cockfighting. And be aware of politicians’ graft and corruption. Corruption of Principles. Corruptions of Public Funds. Corruptions of Laws. Corruptions of Rights.

What the animal rights wanted done in the Philippines was done by Makati City upon election of Mayor Jejomar Binay, Jr. … that is …Termination of Cockfighting Sports.
